This Texas Tribune and University of Texas Poll for October 2010 showed Rick Perry 10 points over Bill White a month before the election (50-40) with Perry's overall approval rating at 46 percent.
Friday, September 3, 2010 to Wednesday, September 8, 2010
This Texas Tribune and University of Texas Poll for September of 2010 polled on various issues including immigration, particulary in light of Arizona passing a new immigration law. It also shows that most Texans did not think things were going well in Afghanistan and 29 percent of Texans believe President Obama to be a Muslim.
Friday, May 14, 2010 to Thursday, May 20, 2010
This Texas Tribune and University of Texas Poll polled registered voters in May of 2010 and polled various questions regarding the issues of immigration and a path to citizenship. With the economy still polling as the most important issue to Texans, it shows that Rick Perry's current job approval rating was almost split with 43 percent somewhat or strongly approve and 39 percent somewhat or strongly disapprove.
